Healing or infection: You need to see the implanting cardiologist -- to make sure that the wound is healing properly.

a year after having a blood draw the site still itches--why?

: Itch scratch cycle. It may have initially done so during healing but the mechanical effect of your scratching the site can create tissue injury that then itches during recovery, followed by scratching/itching/etc. Try covering the site when possible with a loose bandage &amp; avoiding scratching. A cold compress can transiently stop an itch. If you break the cycle it should fade.

i received a cortisone shot alcohol based ...third one a week ago. injection site itches...didn't the last two times.  how long will it itch?

Itch at injection: the cortisone injection may have occurred around a nerve  - I would expect any complications to last no more than 1-2 weeks.    Not sure the alcohol base is an issue.

i was bitten by a tick about 3 months ago, there was no swelling or redness but the site still itches quite often. what should i do?

Scar tissue?: The area of the bite may have formed some scar tissue or a piece of the tick may still be in the skin and the body is trying to digest it. Take a little massage oil each day and work the area of skin gently to promote healing. Topical 1% hydrocortisone twice a day may also help. Good luck!

tetanus shot on 12/1 - 4 days later red, swollen area just below the injection site. it hurts a lot, itches, and is hot to the touch. is this normal?

No: Please see a doctor, you may very well have developed infection at the site of injection, happens sometimes, but needs treatment, might need an antibiotic, good luck

i had staph infection a while ago and it was treated. however, my ankle (the original site from which it spread) still itches. is that normal?

Sort of: It is likely that there was a sensory nerve located in the area of the infection.  The inflammation, and/or any treatment to the area for infection likely irritated this nerve.  Now, you are having a neuritis to that nerve, which can cause various stimuli such as itching, burning, temperature change, etc.

do i have a bee sting infection? been 3 days and still itches a lot. is turning purple and sting site is whiteish and slightly raised. also warmer.

Bell venom allergy: It's much more likely that you're allergic to the venom the bee injected into you. Itching is a hallmark of allergy - and if the area is inflamed like that, it's probably all allergy. I would try putting some ice on it (10 min on, 10 min off), take some benadryl or other antihistamine every 6 to 8 hours and see what happens. If you develop a fever, or the rash area extends, you need to show a doc.

Itch: Pressure and warm sites tend to be susceptible areas for rash. Any rash can be itchy, although hives tend to be red, raised and mosquito-bite like rashes that are very itchy. Topical anti-itch cream is a start. If it doesn't resolve or spreads, see a doctor for a true diagnosis.

Itchy Back: Too bad i cannot see exactly where this itchy spot is on your back. If it's near the shoulder blade, on one side, there is a condition called brachioradial pruritus. It is thought that this condition may be a result of a long-ago injury to some of the vertebrae in your spine. Your general physician would be in better shape to see exactly where this "place" is.

Battery life: Pacemakers have a battery or generator life.  The device does not 'expire' but it does come to end of life and the generator or body of the pacemaker must be replaced.
