See below: Isosorbide will clear system within 24 to 48 hours. However for Coreg (carvedilol) you'll see a gradual improvement over a few days after cessation. Complete clearing of the effects of it in about two weeks.

i take imdur (isosorbide mononitrate er) 60 mg every morning. i alwyas take it exactly at 10am and ive never altered more than about 30 minutes. is there still a chance i develop tolerances ? i have vasospastic angina?

: If you were developing a tolerance, then on the same dose of medication, you would be having symptoms of your angina. As long as you are not having any angina issues, then the medicine is still effective at the current dose. Be sure to follow up with your cardiologist for monitoring. Good luck!

Nitrates: Both may cause some drop in blood pressure but usually not very much. Nitrates are not typically used for treatment of hypertension. The effects of the short and long acting isosorbide mono nitrate are similar; the difference is how often it has to be taken, i.e. Once vs. Twice a day.

: To avoid tolerance to the medication you have to have about a 12 hour period each day of no medication. With taking every day early in the morning at the same time this allows a drug free time in the day. So you are doing the right thing.

take 161 asp-metropol succer er 12.5-isosorbide 15 and cymbalta (duloxetine) 60 at 7am is this ok..stopped taking effient and metropolol together..breathing better?

i have asthma. i did a feno lung test today and blew a 175. i also take isosorbide mononitrate 60 mg er. will that affect the test? could that be why its higher ? the nitro ?

Maybe (not) . . .: You'll need to address this question w/your cardiologist & family doc. If you're overweight or obese, it's possible to come off blood pressure, cholesterol & diabetes medications by changing lifestyle, eating right, exercising regularly & losing weight. Just curious, but why didn't you mention Lisinopril in your question? Regardless, metoprolol & Isosorbide Mononitrate can help decrease spasm.

Won't feel good: That person will get the worst headache of their life. Their BP will be low and they may pass out. Nausea and dizziness are to be expected. Severe cases can lead to methemoglobinemia which, untreated, can be fatal.
