no: I don't know if you mean once, by mistake, or regularly.  If you doubled your dose by mistake once, it's unlikely to be harmful, although you might suffer serotonin side-effects (stomach upset, jitteriness, restlessness).  Taking 300 on a regular basis usually does more harm than good.  It's not okay if your doctor didn't prescribe it that way.

Yes, but....: Yes, but, first, you're lucky that you haven't experienced an adverse reaction to doubling your dose.  We always advise patients only to change their medication with their physician's advice &amp; consent, but, now that you've done so, please let your doctor know!  Thanks!

From what I hear yes: From what i've heard it will not do harm, but might lessen that one day's medical effectiveness. A single drink on an infrequent social basis should not be a problem, but if you are in doubt - don't do it. You can have an alternative festive beverage and skip the worry. Here's to you!

Caution is good: A healthy level of caution/concern is a good thing. Most patients who experience side effects with zoloft (sertraline) will have them early on and often they are temporary. With a little time they may go away as you adjust to the medication. To expect side effects to occur spontaneously later in treatment when no changes of dose or meds are made would be not advised since this would be highly unusual.

At this dosage: You should be ok. But, find a system to help you consistently remember to take your medications at the same time every day. I take mine in the morning before breakfast. It quickly became a habit ; now has become easy to remember.

i am on 10 mg 2x/day of buspirone and 200 mg of zoloft 1x a day! i accidentally took a 3rd buspirone instead of my zoloft! am i going to be okay?! can i still take my zoloft ??

: If you've been taking these 2 medications all along without problems, taking a third buspirone, an antianxiety medication, may only increase sedative effects. I wouldn't drive for the remainder of the day or evening. I would still take your zoloft as I wouldn't expect any ill effects of doing so. Your physician or pharmacist can validate this advice.

i stopped taking zoloft (sertraline) because i was scared it would interfere with the plan b i took. i took the plan b pill over a week ago. is it okay to continue to take my zoloft (sertraline) (50mg) again?

Yes: The Zoloft (sertraline) wouldn't have interfered, and it is okay to restart it. Make sure to check a pregnancy test in a couple of weeks - Plan B can cause irregular bleeding or delay your cycle, so take a test to make sure you're not pregnant about 3 weeks from when you had unprotected intercourse.
