Nobody really knows: There are thousands of supplements advertised to do all sorts of remedies. Very few supplements have real research studies to show benefits and risks (but manufacturers make claims based on theories, animal tests, testimonials, chemical similarities, etc... but not based on real research because research is hard to do). Probably safer to take a multivitamin and drink things without additives.

Relatively safe...: Cyanocobalamin ( Vit B12) is excreted into human milk. Cyanocobalamin is considered compatible with breast-feeding by the American Academy of Pediatrics. There are side effects described of too much cyanocobalamin &amp; u shd be aware of them &amp; discuss it with the doctor treating u. Best is to see all the side effects on a site such as drugs.com. Includes: dyspnea, rash, Diarrhoea, vomiting &amp; others.

Good quality food: Naturally good quality food will replenish b12 quickly. If you taking anti acid medication your absorption will be impaired. For that reason I recommend sublingual supplement or injection. Otherwise look for 500 -1000 mcg will needed to get you level above500-700 pg/ml.
