every time i eat fish i get bad stomach pains and trapped wind. i get this with most fish but not with tuna and shell fish. do i have a fish allergy?

Not a fish allergy: Could be related to how fish is prepared, other factors, other foods, beverages/alcohol.
If you were allergic to fish tuna would cause the symptoms
if you were allergic to shellfish (a different set of animals), it would cause symptoms.

Depends: There are certain fish which are more risky depending on your gender and age because of mercury; others because they are poisonous unless properly handled (fugu, or pufferfish).  In general, eating raw food is riskier than properly cooked.  That being said, if the sushi is properly prepared, your risk of illness is generally low.

Mackarel: is an oily fish high in omega-3 fatty acids and typically less expensive than salmon. I don't really know how large your cans are, but I would think you are consuming more than 600-800 cal/day, or perhaps 1/4 to 1/3 of your daily caloric input. This is too much of any one kind of food(even a good one) for a balanced diet. And it's a lot of fat (even the good kind) and protein. I would cut back.

Yes: As long as the fish is not breaded, it complies with a low carb diet. Tuna is the healthiest fish mentioned. Tilapia is fatty and sardines high in sodium.

Probably too much: The only safe amount of fish during pregnancy is none.  The FDA has guidelines about how much and what types of fish are more or less dangerous, depending on the amount of mercury the specific fish is thought to contain.

Planning such a diet should occur before conception and in consultation with you OB.

Generally, large fish with a long lifespan (e.g., tuna) have higher mercury levels.

Your nervous system needs good fats such as those found in oily fish like salmon and tuna to work properly.  These fish are high in Omega 3 essential fatty acids which help to decrease inflammation as well as lower cholesterol levels.
