: Almost anything can exacerbate your IBS.  Stressful situations and seasonal allergies can be stressful certainly can make IBS somewhat worse.

Antihitamines and: Intranasal steroid sprays work together to lessen seasonal allergies. But if using these regularly doesnt help your ibs, see an allergist...Maybe there are other issues involved, ie. ? Food allergies. Allergy shots may also be helpful.

Diet: In general, foods high in fat, fried foods, spicy foods, alcohol, and caffeinated coffee and tea can be problematic. Some foods, such as beans, cabbage, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, peas, onions, and bagels, that can cause minor discomfort .You have also lactase deficiency which is often associated with ibs and limits dairy intake. More likely related to ibs than allergy.Consult md.

Unknown: The traditional research in IBS has not definitively identified connections between foods or food allergies and ibs. This is actually one of the definitions of IBS by the experts. Many of us believe IBS may represent more than one condition however and so I am careful to listen to what my patients tell me. I might be inclned to consider the symptoms something other than typical IBS in that case.

Process of eliminati: Without testing, one cannot be sure. If you eliminate gluten from your diet and your symptoms abate, you have a presumptive diagnosis.

Intolerance: I believe that you are intolerant of eggs with respect to your IBS and since this is not a true allergy there should be no cross reaction to other foods. Any intolerance of other food substances are indeed possible but would not be a true cross sensitivity.

Probably not, but: One's primary care doctor can evaluate and look at the full picture to see what might be worsening or causing symptoms. After interviewing and examining the patient, the doctor might go over medications used, physical sensations, psychological stressors - as those things can worsen OCD symptoms. In kids, doctors may look for strep throat bacterial infection, as that sometimes worsens OCD issues.

First, you need to: make sure what you are experiencing are true allergies. Many people have food intolerances--nausea, pain, diarrhea--but often food allergy also involves hives, itchy skin, shortness of breath indicating an activation of your immunologic system. Having IBS leads me to favor the food intolerance diagnosis. Leaky gut, as you suggest, isn't a recognized diagnosis.Fiber is good, but more balance needed
