i believe i have pompholyx or dyshidrotic eczema (dyshidrotic dermatitis), probably the latter. how can i treat this?

Dishidrotic eczema: In dyshidrotic eczema, typical first-line treatment includes high-strength topical steroids and cold compresses. Short courses of oral steroids are the second line of treatment for acute flares, and other immunosuppressants have also been tried. Corticosteroids are cornerstones of topical therapy. Guidelines have been established by the national institute of clinical evidence.

Can’t: They will return but can use rubber gloves,lotions,steroids.In addition talk to your doctor about Potassium permanganate dilute solution soaks -  used to 'dry out' the vesicles.

The itchy blisters: Also known as pomphylix, is an intensely itchy that can be acute, chronic, or recurrent dermatosis of the fingers, palms, and soles, frequently with sudden onset of many deep-seated itchy, clear vesicles; later, scaling, fissures which can cause pain. It is diffult to treat and often requires potent steroids. There are other treatments. Consult doc/dermatologist for eval. Good luck.

Itchy finger bumps: Dyshidrotic eczema is a very itchy rash of little bumps on the fingers or hands, and may occur on the feet. The bumps may have some fluid inside, but don't break open (unless one scratches harshly) like chicken pox or herpes sores. Dyshidrosis is usually treated with prescription cortisone cream for 1-2 weeks, plus moisturizers like CeraVe. Hydrocortisone 1% may or may not be strong enough.

what is the best way to treat dyshidrosis eczema over the counter?

Nothing great OTC: Dyshidrosis affects hands and feet where the skin is quite thick and tough. Hard for medications even to get through to the live layers of skin. Hydrocortisone 1% ointment is probably the best OTC there is, and if you wear cotton gloves over a generous application that may help improve penetration but prescription medication is best.

Probably not ...: Dyshidrotic Eczema, sometimes called Pomphoylx is an itchy skin condition of the hands and feet, characterised by vesicles, fluid filled bubbles.  Causes are unclear and probably multfactorial; genetic predisposition (can run in families); triggered by stress, sweating, humdity or irritants; associated with contact allergy such as nickel. No clear association to Agent Orange exposure.

can hives on the skin look like dyshidrosis eczema? i have bumps that look a lot like dyshidrosis mainly on my arm and elbow i was given my covid shot on spread out. they do react to antihistamine drugs it seems as well?

Dyshidrotic Eczema: Dyshidrotic eczema is usually treated with class one prescription topical steroids such as vanos, or clobetasol, or clobex spray, or topicort spray or others. See your dermatologist for a prescription.

Yes it can be: Eczema herpeticform is commonly caused by Hepes Simplex virus type1or2,may also be caused by Coxackie virus A16 or Vaccinia Virus and is contagious by direct contact
