Melatonin: Melatonin is a hormone involved in regulating sleep.  It is not involved in changing skin color.  Melanin is the pigment involved in skin color.

Melatonin: Melatonin is produced in the pineal gland.  Seratonin - a neurotransmitter is converted to melatonin.  Any hormone taken in excess can lead to the bodies reduction of its own production.  Taking normal doses should not affect the bodies normal production.  Things like stress and lower seratonin production can lead to lower melatonin levels.

Everyday: I am assuming that what you have meant is can it be taken consecutive days.  Otherwise if you question is regarding can it be taken during the day, that could be a problem.  It should be taken in the evening when it is getting dark to help synchronize your body clock to get sleepy about 4 hours after taking.
