These could be sxs: Of pms. Pms sxs can include feeling tearful, irritability, mood swings, anger, depressed mood, change in sex drive  ; anxiety.  These may be accompanied by swelling of the breasts (or extremities), weight gain, abdominal bloating, cramps, nausea,  ^ urinary frequency, overeating, headaches (to include migraines), dizziness, fainting ; palpitations. Sleep may be disturbed wproblems w acne or hives.

Hormones: It is difficult to say for sure, but probably the shift in hormone levels in your system during your cycle. Try to stay active, exercise, use over the counter medications (unless your doctor told you not to use them), and keep going. If you cannot (the pain is more severe), have your gynecologist or pcp examine you.

Likely strain: Low back pain is common and generally gets better with rest, ice, nsaids or physical therapy. If this persists see you doctor as imaging (x-rays, mri) may be required.

Musculoskeletal: It is much more likely that your unilateral back pain has a musculoskeletal cause, such as degenerative disc, facet joint arthropathy, si joint pathology, herniated disc, pinched nerve, etc - rather than being related to menstruation.  However, if your symptoms persist you should see a physician for evaluation.

Mitteleschmerz: Mittelscmerz pain is due to to ovulation and occurs about 2 weeks before your menstrual cycle. Since your last period was 10 years ago this is not a likely cause of your pain today. Pelvic pain is complex with many causes. A thorough evaluation is warranted.
