Lexapro (escitalopram) kills libido: I suspect the Lexapro (escitalopram) is the culprit.  You have another option for an anti-depressant which can be an add on, buproprion.  I suspect there is more to your story if the doctor has advised injections instead of a trial of Viagra or the like.  Personally, I would try other options for my patient prior to advising injections.  Have a frank discussion with your doctor regarding the anti-depressant.

Neither: If your problem is one with libido, meaning the desire to have sex, an injection or a medication that stimulates bloodflow to the penis will do NOTHING to make you WANT to have sex and so your mental health is something you need to discuss first, possibly with your prescriber for another SSRI that won't affect your libido. Depends on what kind: Of blood pressure pills, and what you mean by a "few." certain blood pressure pills which lower pressure by opening up arteries (minipress, hydralazine, isordil) can cause fainting from extremely low blood pressure when taken together with viagra (sildenafil) or the other similar meds. Heart attacks, strokes and death have occurred. 1-2 standard drinks are ok, but more can do the same thing as the BP meds.

Viagra (sildenafil): Most 39 year olds would not need viagra (sildenafil). Taking a drug you don't need with or without additional drugs(alcohol is a drug) is not a good idea. If a person needs viagra (sildenafil) and has appropriate condition and medications which don't raise risk, it could be safe. Likewise the beers could be ok. A blanket 'its safe' isn't prudent without knowing more about the person concerned in the question.

No problem: Gabapentin has few if any drug-drug metabolic interactions due to renal clearance.  So, you should be fine.

Call surgeon: I do not know what medications your surgeon will be administering, so to advise you one way or another would not be prudent. Please call your surgeon and get his/her ok as to what meds you can take the night before.
