Many : Many patients have vbac's all the time. If your doctor feels you are a candidate at this point then i see no reason why you should not try. You will be monitored very closely, and any sign of fetal or maternal distress/complication, the trial of vbac will be stopped and a c-section will be done. This decision is between you and your doctor. If you are scared or do not feel comfortable then take this into consideration when making your decision.

C-section: With each C-section there is risk for bowel or bladder injury.  After 3 C-sections the risk rises to greater than 1%.

Yes: It is safe. Success rate depends on how far along in pregnancy. Risks would be same for any other medical termination. Surgical termination relatively soon after csection may increase risk of uterine perforation but 1 year is not super close

Exercise after cesar: Yes you can. 6 wks from surgery you should have no restrictions. If you were physically fit prior pregnancy more likely you will recover very fast.

This : This must be very stressful for you. Viability odds are not favorable at 23 weeks.  However, rather than obtain this info through this type of venue; you need to sit down with your medical team and ask the questions directly. C-section scars: If you mean the scar on the skin opened, it does not mean that the incision made in the womb to deliver your child opened also. In any event, the scar on the womb is almost certainly healed, but it would be advised to have your next child in a hospital setting, so the monitoring of your labor (if you choose a vaginal delivery attempt) is possible to avoid a tear in the womb during labor.

Safe: Yes, it can be safe. You do not have many choices. Natural vaginal delivery it more risky. No other choices. Be well and  good luck.

Yes: You are young and otherwise healthy and with your previous back problem, it sounds like your best and safest choice. All the best.

Accepted Answer

Yes high risk: You would be at significant risk of having another thromboembolism. The risk increases with age. If your heart is set on another baby you should seek a consultation with a hematologist and/or a perinatalogist before getting pregnant. You would very likely need to be on anticoagulant therapy throughout the pregnancy and post partum period. With this approach you should do ok.

Depends: 1st, speak with your ob. She/he will know your history the best and know how the surgery (c-section) was performed. It is usually recommended to wait at leat 2 years between pregnancies for several reasons. If the uterus was closed in one layer instead of 2 (the operative note should reveal this), there is a greater risk of uterine rupture during labor and that can be life-threatening 2u and baby.
