Not likely: While some young men may have lower urinary tract voiding symtpoms, they are not likely due to an enlarged prostate as the prostate has not started to enlarge at such a young age.  Some young men have a bladder neck problem that looks like BPH and may repsond to some of the same treatments.  Your urologist would be able to to the evaluation and recommend appropriate treatment.

Bph: Benign prostatic hypertrophy is a by product of aging, and commonly seen in males say 50 and older. Symptoms include urinary frequency, hesitancy, decrease volume of stream, incomplete bladder emptying leading to more frequent urination, and multiple trips to the toilet at night to urinate. At your age you should not be experiencing any of these symptoms. See your doc. ?Uti or prostatitis.

Fever=infection: If he is having a fever after surgery you should definitely follow up with his surgeon. A microabscess is an area of infection that has been walked off within  the body to a specific area. These often need to be drained or the person can get sicker.

: Most men will get BPH when getting older. You do not need a routine rectal exam for enlarged prostate unless you have urinary symptoms which are usually called LUTS - Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms. You are too young for your concern, concentrate on your healthy diet, exercise and education. Take care.

i would like to ask you a question if it is normal for a 40 year old man to have to urunate 1 time every nigth during sleeping hours, if this means he could be suffering from bph? also what about would be the normal urine flow/intensity for him?

See remark: At 40 yrs,BPH is uncommon.Voiding once is not that bad but is not common.Do you drink fluids,alcohol,
coffee,tea,a lot of fruits before bedtime?they all cause your complaint.I don't want to go into detail of flow and intensity which require special instruments.Abstain from excessive fluids at night,if you still are bothered with the one-time getting up @ night,see a urologist

PSA: I know of no supplements , vitamins or medications that can elevate ones psa.

: Urinary tract infection (UTI) is most likely cause.  This typically includes acute and/or chronic cystitis,  prostatitis, and urethritis, which would require treatment with antibiotics.  Other potential causes include mass effect from adjacent structures, such as rectal cancer.  Please see your medical provider for definitive diagnosis.

Definitely : Could have contributed to the blood pressure.   If you are not having symptoms with the low blood pressure not a big deal.  If you are having symptoms talk to your doctor to try and help you adjust things.
