What's a lot?: Excess caffeine can lead to irritability, insomnia, panic attacks, anxiety, tremors, agitation, GI distress including esophageal reflux, cramps, indigestion , diarrhea, muscle twitching, cramps, increased sensitivity to to low blood sugar, palpitations, funny heart rhythms, and more.
Excess is a relative thing.   If you get the above, you're drinking too much.

Probably: Coffee does not contain gluten. Decaffeinated coffee still contains trace amounts of caffeine but unless you are extremely sensitive to caffeine you should have no problem handling the tiny amounts of caffeine in Tim Horton's decafe. But the only way to know for sure is to try it!

Symptoms of anxiety can include feeling restless or nervous; tension in muscles (especially neck and upper back); problems falling asleep or staying asleep; dry mouth; get tired out easily; feeling irritable or having difficultly concentrating due to feeling anxious. Some people can feel jittery after smoking 3 cigarettes.

Any way you like: If you go cold turkey your body will likely have migraine equivalent headaches for a few days to a week or so but you would be done. If you drink 8-10  cups a day you could just drop a cup every other day until you are off.Gradual tapers bring on less body response. You might want to substitute some other drink, like water with lemon, because the habit of drinking is harder to stop than caffeine.

Create a quite room: Many times doing an activity that is stressful to you such as work in your bedroom causes association of work with that room, this can lead to insomnia. Keep your bedroom cool and quite, use it only for sleeping and practice relaxation techniques (yoga, meditation, music, etc...). It is common for the elderly to sleep less due to their sleep cycle. am looking for a caffine substitute now of course! lol. chiccory ingredient just as bad

Some : Some foods and beverages that can cause heavy staining include: red wine, coffee, black teas, cherries, grape juice, blueberry juice, soy sauce, cranberry juice , balsamic vinegar, tomato sauce,  dark colas, popsicles  and curry. Foods with high acid content impact your teeth as well as tobacco (smoked or chewed).   Chicory is reported to cause a lot of darkening.
