Depends: It depends on "How much alcohol?"  Most docs would agree that one serving of alcohol would be ok, assuming you were in otherwise good health. Too much alcohol will lower your immune system, so if you're taking Dayquil for a cold/flu you are not helping your body by adding alcohol. Acetaminophen (an ingredient in some Dayquil) &amp; alcohol is not a good combination, and can damage the liver.

In small amounts: Paracetamol is another name for acetominophen, or tylenol (acetaminophen).  If taken in amounts greater than 2 grams/day routinely, it can be toxic to the liver.  Drinking alcohol heavily is toxic to the liver also, and results would be additive.  You could drink a glass of wine with a meal, and safely take a dose of paracetamol the same day -- but do not use either in large quantities.
