i am almost 50 years old. i drink 2 glasses of water beforedinner and 1 glass of water before sleeping. during night, i get up 3 to 4 times to pass urine. is it normal?

Dont dink so much: Being hydrated is great and its good you drink water. You should drink about 8 glasses of water a day. However if you are waking up in the middle of the night to urinate then you need to limit your intake of water previous to bed time. Try not to drink water 2 hours before bed time or if you do limit it. The closer to bedtime you drink fluids youll likely have to get up in the middle to urinate.

hi at 11.15 pm night befor going bed i pass urine (550 ml) i measur my urine. after 1.30 am i feel urine again not urgency but i feel i went pass urine again it was (305 ml ). from (5.30 pm to 11.05 pm) water intake is 1250 ml). after 2hours normal?

: There are many factors that affect how much urine is produced based on fluid intake. For example, if you are dehydrated, you will make less urine with the same amount of fluid intake than if you were well hydrated. It also has to do with your kidney function. If there is concern, you can ask your doctor for a urinalysis to see how concentrated it is and if there are any abnormalities. Good luck!

visiting the washroom every one hour to pass urine. is it normal or abnormal?

Not normal: See your physician. You may have a bladder infection(UTI). If you have lost weight or very thirsty you may have uncontrolled Diabetes.

hi when i wake up in the morning and i went to washroom to pass urine . when i start my its normal when i near to finish my pee my urine splits . it happens occasionally . i have notice this . from last 7 days it happens 3 times?

Not normal: Normal psa is under 4. That's doesn't meant the burning is related to it though. It could be totally unrelated. Go see your doctor and get it checked out.

hi one question is disturbing me alot. i went for ultrasound my ultrasound was normal doctor ask me to pass urine. i pass good amount of urine after that he done my pvr. it was only 240cc prevoid volume& 10cc resuide. last time it was 480cc & nil?

: We can void on command even on a less then full bladder. 10 cc of residual urne is insignificant and within normal limits and can vary on the circumstances of voiding. There is nothing to worry about as  all this is normal. To avoid worry next time have a doc doing explain the results of any tests done to you

See urologist...: Peeing once daily is not normal. If your urine flow is weak and you feel not emptying well, go to see the doctor who performed cystoscopy and urethral dilation.

every 2-3 weeks or so i have sort of burning sensation at the end of peeing just once and then back to normal. the urine culture is also normal. off and on i also have urgency to pass urine but not always. what could be causing this?

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It may something you eat that is excreted in urine and is irritating your urethra, If adjusting your diet does not help, it would be prudent to see a doctor, preferably a urologist. i have got a prostate infection since then i have had quite i bad burn pain when i pass urine is this normal?

Yes and No: Burning pain on urination is never normal, but it is certainly a manifestation of prostatic infection.  Hopefully this is being treated aggressively.  If you are on antibiotics which are appropriate it should be supplemented by sitz baths and frequent ejaculations.  Get better soon.
