Yes: Eating disorders that are severe enough to cause your period to stop can lead to thin bones "osteopenia" which are more easily fractured. Get help for your problem. See your doctor or therapist.

had knee surgery due to a fracture on my tibia bone and now that i returned to my normal duties my ankle is in a lot of pain and it swells up and it keeps me from walking . what does this mean what is wrong?

Hard to say: It does suggest that you have something " wrong" with your ankle.  Perhaps in the same injury in which you injured your knee your ankle was also injured.  I would not hesitate to be seen.

i had surgery for a fractured tibia and fibula with im nail. in a boot now and my leg feels like jelly and heavy. is this normal?

Heavy: Probably normal post op issue. Would wait and reassess in the next several weeks.

No: No, i would not say it is normal and there are multiple potential causes.  Some talus fractures heal uneventfully, others have serious long term sequelae.  Tarsal tunnel syndrome is just one condition that can cause similar symptoms and may be more common in someone who has had such a severe injury as you are describing.  Thank you for your question.

Depends: Depends on location of the tibia fracture. IF you have not seen an orthopaedic surgeon yet, you should. Majority of adults need surgical treatment of tibia fractures whether they are proximal, shaft or distal types. Rule of thumb for most fractures-12 weeks for bone to heal if you are healthy and the bones are well aligned. Do you have xrays handy?

Get X-ray : Big toe fractures and 'sprains '( ' turf toe') are fairly common. If your ' stinging' continues see an Orthopedic Surgeon for evaluation.If the fracture extended into the joint ( as in any joint) you may be developing early arthritis . Treatment early can be fairly 'easy' w/ NSAIDs/ turf -toe liners, etc. Get an X-ray and get examined! Best of Luck!

i had surgery to remove the fibular sesamoid bone last november after having a stress fracture. im still having aching pain in the ball of my foot and theres a sharp pain on a certain point of the scar when pressure is applied. is this normal?

Heal bone first: Tibias heal poorly and can go on to monunion they usually should be nailed enknee motion to follow sometimes weight bering depending on frx pattern and fixation heal first them strengthen straight leg raises are a classic keeps quad strong.

Check with doctor: You don't say how big you mean by "large". It's also important how long it has been since the injury and surgery, if the swelling is sore or red, or if she has any fever. Best to check with the doctor's office ASAP. Everything may be OK, but better safe than sorry!

Fibular fractures: For many fibular fractures, the mechanism of injury and the amount of space between the talus and tibial dictates the need for surgery or not.  An inversion fracture-where the foot rolled in- causes the ligament between the tibia and fibula and the ligament between the talus and the fibula to tear.  This causes instability that can result in arthritis and injury in the future. Surgery heals better
