Sleep deprivation: can increase paranoia.  Anxiety can produce feelings in chest.  Please see your doc to rule out medical conditions.  Then see a mental health professional to help diagnose and treat whatever is going on.  Please don't use medication only.  Learn coping methods from therapist who specializes in mood disorders. The cause: varies from severe anxiety/depression to HYPERTHYROIDISM (OVER-active thyroid gland) See your PCP for a hands on complete history/physical exam. (thyroid palpation)

i had covid 2 weeks. i've been coughing a lot at night with mucus & have difficulty sleeping due to it. what can i do to clear the mucus in my chest, and will the cough go away? is this a serious covid complication?

: A mucolytic like mucinex can help. Taking deep breaths and expanding your lungs will also help to clear secretions. The cough from covid can linger for a while after infection. My cough lasted about 2 months after i had covid, but it did eventually go away.

Chest Burnining: If you are having difficulty breathing, you should see a doctor or visit the er right away if you are not on treatment. Even with the above information, you could be having an acute pulmonary problem needing immediate attention.

i have cough-variant asthma and a cold, experiencing worsening nighttime cough, chest tightness/pain, and shortness of breath with difficulty sleeping. can i still go to my orangetheory fitness classes (with albuterol)? when is it safe to workout?

See your Dr first: Given all your symptoms, I cannot recommend going to your fitness class even if you have albuterol.  If you are having chest tightness/pain and shortness of breath with difficulty sleeping you should see your Dr in order to step up your asthma treatment and reassess your cold. Colds may progress to bronchitis and sometimes pneumonia can start out like a cold.  This should be evaluated by your Dr.

Stop neglecting it: No home or over-the-counter remedy will clear you. Start using topical benzoyl peroxide and phone your physician for an appointment. You may get a sufficient response from a few months on a systemic antibiotic, or you may need isotretinoin. If you are offered this medication, which is not for the faint-hearted, please give it serious consideration -- most folks are very pleased afterwards.

Serious Rx: Home remedies including benzoyl peroxide aren't going to help much. Your physician may offer you the oral contraceptive pill if you want and can take it; you may be evaluated for stein-leventhal, and it's likely you'll be offered a topical or systemic antibiotic that's right for you. All acne can be treated effectively nowadays.

Treatable: Acne on the trunk will usually require at least one systemic treatment. Topical benzyl peroxide is still your best friend; retinoic acid, Clindamycin and spironolactone are also helpful topicals. The oral contraceptive pill may clear a woman's acne. A systemic antibiotic such as tetracycline may clear you in conjunction with benzoyl peroxide. If offered isotretinoin, consider it.

Real Rx: You can't do it on your own, and home remedies and topical benzoyl peroxide probably won't touch it. Your physician can probably clear you in about two weeks with a systemic antibiotic that's right for you, perhaps tetracycline 500 2x/day. If this fails and you're offered isotretinoin, accept it.

Dermatologist: In this day and age, there are so many treatments available,  Topicals, oral medications, even laser therapies.  You need to review this with a dermatologist to come up for a plan best suited to your skin and the type of acne you have.  Best of luck.
