Usually Not: Hyperbaric oxygen does not usually raise ones blood pressure.  If your blood pressure is above normal than it is usually due to some other condition.  See your family physician to discuss this.

Oxygen is the very root of energy metabolism and a great deal of energy is required for healing. But, like everything else, it has to be dosed. Too much oxygen is as bad as too little.

Mostly NO: Hyperbaric treatments have allowed dramatic healing of leg ulcers in my patients.  None have had any problem.  The common concern is ear drug injury from the high pressures used, if the patient has a problem equalizing ear pressure (like what happens when planes descend altitude and one's ears hurt).  On wikipedia, i read about anumber of other concerns that most patients would never encounter.

Continue rehab during hbot if possible. We typically use a starting pressure of 1.75ata, and you will probably need a minimum of 40 treatments, possibly more.

Sorry, no.: The only evidence-based treatment of autism is intensive, repetitive behavioral & educational therapy geared at the child's developmental age. When a young child is ready, "peer therapy" is effective, adult-supervised play with a neurotypical peer in multiple settings. Group therapy at age 6 & > is repetitive, rote training in basic skills.

Sometimes: Since you are under increased atmoshpheric pressure in a hyperbaric chamber, there is increased pressure in the lungs. If one has COPD with blebs, (fragile air-filled sacks of air) the pressure could cause the lung to leak into the chest cavity and to collapse.

Hyperbaric oxygen: There are several medical indications for hyperbaric oxygen. You should pray that you have none of these conditions. They include scuba diving injuries, diabetic foot infections (severe), radionecrosis of the jaw, just to name a few.
