i have a creatinine level of 1.5, sodium 129 (l), potassium 3.7, choloride 93(l),  bun 17. can the high level of creatinine be caused by dehydration?

See below: Had the high creatinine level been due to dehydration, you BUN would also have been high. It would be prudent to consult a nephrologist.

45, female. can you interpret these numbers for me. bun 22, serum creatinine is 1.17, egfr is 56, chloride is 108, ag ratio is 2.3. can dehydration cause the elevation in the numbers or should i be concerned about my kidney function?

: Labs are basically near normal, except for a lower GFR (less than normal passage of urine through the kidney), which can indicate potential damage eventually from dehydration.  Get a referral to a nephrologist for guidance, and increase your hydration with clear fluids.

other day i got iv sodium chloride drip for dehydration and needle went into soft tissue muscle, made my arm flex and hurt a bit. it was resolved and went down but i worry. could i still possibly get complications from this?

: Unlikely. You should be OK now that it has gone down and resolved. Make sure to drink enough water and get electrolytes in order to avoid future dehydration. Avoid alcohol and caffeine until your dehydration is all better.

OK to drink water: It did not dehydrate you more. Your IV had plenty of water. Your response is to the Sodium Chloride. Your body is wanting to dilute the concentration of sodium chloride in your bloodstream. Continue to drink plain water until you are not thirsty any more. Do not drink any alchohol or any dehydrating liquids such as cucumber water or green tea for the next few days.

i was given sodium chloride 0.9% 1000ml bag of fluids at er today before blood test came back. suspected dehydration bc palpitations. test came back sodium was 140 and chloride 107 before fluids. is this going to mess me up? i am extremely thirsty?

Dehydration: Normal saline is 0.9% sodium chloride and is safe to give through an IV; the fluid is "normal" or equal to the circulating fluids in your cardiovascular system. This will improve your circulation. The values you mentioned are normal levels and should not be affected by the fluids given. Thirst is a sign you need to drink water along with a soft bland diet until you can followup with your doctor.

if one takes esomeprazole 40 mg for acid reflux in the morning then will it also stop ur body from absorbing sodium chloride and potassium chloride from ors dehydration salts which u take afterwards?

3yr old high hemocrit, can it be caused by celiac? normal is 4.2 he is 5.2. or can dehydration cause such an increase?
