Hcg diet: The fda does not feel that HCG is safe for anyone.  The 'hcg diet' starts with 500 calories a day, which is also unsafe.  Save yourself some money and continue to eat healthy.

No; save your money: The HCG diet has a person eating 500 calories a day for more than a month. That's just one big slice of pizza a day. A 4-month old baby eats 500 calories a day. Anybody on 500 calories a day is on a starvation diet and will lose weight. It doesn't sound safe. Extremely low calorie diets don't work because the weight comes back when one starts eating again. Long-term lifestyle changes are needed.

after hcg = 0 after a d&c, is there a chance of any other complications that should be checked for (just to be safe) or is hcg = 0 is an all clear ?

Follow up visit: A D and C is a safe procedure and complications are rare. If a complication occurs it typically happens during or in the first hours or days after surgery. After surgery it is best to schedule a post op visit with your surgeon to address any concerns you may have. It is not standard to check a BHCG after a surgical D and C. Nothing wrong with doing it but it's not really needed.

Depends : It is hormonal medications with multiple. Possible side effects. Ranging from headache , dizziness to fluid retention and ovarian overstimulation syndrome. Check pdr for complete adverse effects.

Yes but...: Hcg is not likely going to cause any harm but weight loss is due to the severe caloric restriction. In men with low testosterone and normal testes, it may work better because the HCG will increase the testosterone level. In women, HCG may increase progesterone. Higher Progesterone may lead to less anxiety and therefore less eating. Overall, smart eating plus increased activity is a better choice.

None: Hcg may not effect it at all. Depends on the dose. It may decrease it. It will not effect weight.

: HCG levels tend to double every couple of days and it is not clear if your results are out of the normal range. For the sake of your and your baby's health,  you should be under the care of a doctor who could do an ultrasound examination to provide a more informed answer.

Yes: Presuming you are taking the HCG for fertility treatment and your doctor is ok with you getting pregnant at this time, there is no reason not take iron supplements.

No: Hcg does not help with weight loss. Plus, if you're not getting it on prescription, you're doing it illegally and who knows what you're injecting and how much harm it could cause you. Don't get your medical information from friends, tv or the internet.
