i popped my perianal abscess, what to do?

Perianal abscess: Warm tub soaks and see a colorectal surgeon as soon as possible. It is possible that nothing else will be needed. However, 50% of abscesses recur and or persist as a draining sinus a s a result of the presence of an anal fistula. A short course of antibiotis may also be needed now in  addition to the spontaneous drainage.

i have a perianal abscess approx 1cm wide at its best and 3cm wide on bad days,iv had it 6months, bleeds every few days & heal over but lump never goes away doesnt hurt just itches should i be concerned about something more sinister why wont it go?

May be: Scar tissue. Generally would be enlarging and increasingly painful if there was a recurrent abscess. Sometimes a fistula can form too, but again generally would be painful and having a drainage or discharge. Best to have a doctor examine it for you.

Has it been drained?: Most abscesses - perinatal is no exception - requires an incision and drainage. Once source control  is achieved, then it should not pose any danger to your reproductive organs. Antibiotics alone will not cure you of this type of infection.

good day, i had a perianal abscess removed 2 months ago. i still see a few spots of blood and slight matter from the wound. is this normal? it looks to be closed. there is slight pain when i put pressure on it by sitting or sleeping.

May need recheck: 2 months after an abscess is drained there really should not be pain or blood- those symptoms could indicate incomplete healing or possible a low grade infection still present 
I strongly recommend you contact the surgeon who did the procedure, who will likely want to re-examine the area

Perianal abscess: Bacteria can cause abscesses around the anus by entering the area through the skin or through the anal wall due to irritation or trauma.  Underlying gastrointestinal diseases such as crohn's disease can be associated with perianal disease.

Antibiotics are : Sometimes used but the main treatment is incision and drainage. I recommend soaking bottom in warm water which helps with pain and discomfort.

If opening closes: The idea of draining an abscess is to allow the infected fluid to drain externally while the abscess is gradually obliterated.  If the packing is removed too early and the opening closes, then you are at risk for a recurrent abscess.
