Uderweight: You need to have a healthy meal or snack every 3 hours, but avoid Junk food, a consultation with dietitian might be a good idea to help gain weight  by eating balanced  diet  in proper portions &amp; help you with your calories requirment. You can take a multivitamin with minerals  to help suppliment your diet. I'm sorry I'm not familiar with syrup.  Good luck &amp; be happy.

Partially: Most food adatives don't have a lot of calories. Your metabolism only matters if you burn fewer than you take in. Fats, carbs , proteins all will easily put the pounds on. Eat less than you metabolize and the pounds will s-l-o-w-l-y come off.

Stop the drug: Don't give him this drug, mosegor to stimulate his appetite please, it would do more harm than benefit, your son's weight is in low range, but it may be just how he is built and was gaining weight steadily , at this age they are picky eaters, follow up with his doctor, wish you both wellness

Yes: The syrup is a proprietary blend of a Multi-Vit + Cyproheptadine. Cyproheptadine is a Histamine H1 Antagonist. Commonly used for  Perennial and seasonal allergic rhinitis and other allergic symptoms.

There is a report of Hepatic: Cholestasis, hepatic failure, hepatitis, jaundice. Though the frequency of these adverse events is not defined. Consult your GP for further evaluation and workup.
