Not the fast: A 3 day juice fast would not cause jaundice. If you are actually jaundiced you need to be evaluated for biliary tract disease or primary liver disorder. Call you doctor, don't drink alcohol, and avoid Acetaminophen (tylenol).Good luck.

Accepted Answer

NO: Certain vegetables: carrots , squashes, or lots of oranges can cause a condition called hypercarotenemia:P an orange discoloration of face or nose: this is benign and not related to jaundice. Ornages will not cause jaundice.

Anemia?: Sometimes anemic people can look yellow.  You should get two laboratory tests: a bilirubin and a complete blood count (or a hemoglobin/hematocrit).  If the bilirubin is normal, you're not jaundiced. The complete blood count will tell you whether you're anemic.

: Enough intake of yellow vegies will turn their skin yellow, sparing the white of the eyes. Jaundice from any cause should show in the white of the eyes. Your doc can see or test to confirm.

Not really : Juices concentrate sugar.  However vegetable juices are generally lower sugar than fruit juices.  Much better from a healthy diet point of view to be eating the unprocessed forms of vegetables

Vitamins!: Carrots are rich in vitamin a especially. This is good for vision, especially night vision. Carrots have lots of other vitamins just not as high of concentrations as vitamin a.

Stop giving carrots: a bad rap! Yes carrots have a high glycemic index  compared to some vegetables. Choosing a  handful of baby carrots for a snack is healthier than a eating a twinkie. Go read the about the amount of nutrition in one carrot. Out of the ground is better than juiced! Go ask Bugs Bunny!

Carrot juice: carrot juice obviously does contain calories, so it could cause weight gain if you drink too much of it. Having said that, it tends to be very healthy, so I am not advising that you should stop it. And it is fine to add beetroot if you'd like. Everything in moderation. Good luck.

Nothing wrong: There is no concern about any of the ingredients you mention.  Am not sure whether to say it is &quot;good&quot; since other unprocessed foods are probably as good.  It is an interesting combination of ingredients.  I presume you did some research before choosing them?  If you feel it helps you then there is no reason that i know of not to continue with it.
