A member asked:

My dietician said carrot juice isn't good for you because it has a lot of naturally occurring sugar in it as opposed to a normal carrot? is it bad???

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Stop giving carrots: a bad rap! Yes carrots have a high glycemic index compared to some vegetables. Choosing a handful of baby carrots for a snack is healthier than a eating a twinkie. Go read the about the amount of nutrition in one carrot. Out of the ground is better than juiced! Go ask Bugs Bunny!
