Not the key: After decades of work, I know on physician personally who takes antioxidants with the idea that they will improve health or longevity; there may be some here. Inflammatory bowel disease requires extra cancer surveillance and your physician needs to explain this to you. Food choices aren't the key to managing your illness; a holistically-minded evidence-based physician might be a good ally.

Polyethylene glycol: PEG and prune juice are safe.  The real question is whether you are having less symptoms.

No problems: with either of these two things that I know of.  They may not help, but they probably can't hurt.

: Oranges are a good source of vitamin C, sugar and fiber. It is better to eat the fruit than drink orange juice. It may or may not help with IBS, you will need to try it out. Predict food allergy: The best way to know what is causing the allergy and for treatment is rotation and elimination diet - it helps to keep a journal for body's response there are also tools to diagnose food allergies one of the is zyto testing the other is GI allergix profile from metametrix labs.

Not with gel but...: This depends on which part of the plant is used.The inner gel is quite safe, but the skin, used as a laxative, contains anthroquinones that can cause melanosis (though that is not necessarily serious). Irritable bowel : Ibs is irritable bowel syndrome which is a disorder that can cause abdominal pain, change in stool patterns from constipation to diarrhea, worse with stressful events or illnesses.  There is no inflammation of the gut like in crohns.  Alternative medicine recommend trying elimiation diets for gluten and dairy since they can exacerbate this, acupuncture to help with the mental/emotional stress.
