Psotpartum: The first few periods postpartum can be abnormal. Adipex no effect. Bc on sunday-i guess you are asking if starting your pill on the sunday following your normal cycle is immediate. Since the early postpartum cycles are not normal, 2nd pack of pills would give bc, use backup 1st pack.

No: There is a delay until vasectomy can be relied upon.  Your partner will need to have a follow up semen analysis to confirm the absence of sperm.

Yes: If you start taking your first pill, of a combined oral contraceptive pill,  on the first day of your period- you do not need to use a second form of contraception to prevent pregnancy.
Condoms are still a good idea, for lots of reasons.

IUD's are about 99%, the pill about 95% and condoms about 80%.Other than the IUD , the ohe other methods require that people know how to use them and use them correctly every time. If you want reversible, pills, ring, patch, depo- Provera (medroxyprogesterone) all very effective if used properly, the problem is some people do not use them correctly so they get pg, there are also iuds, and impalnon.

Beyond that, Mirena (levonorgestrel) or Implanon are extremely effective, have little or no drug-drug interactions, and you can't forget them. Surgical sterilization is also very effective, but obviously requires surgery and it's risks.
