diverticulitis cause lower backache?

Yes: If the area is inflamed near the spinal nerves it can definitely cause low back pain.  The only way to know for sure is to do a ct scan or mri.

12 days i had a colon resection due to diverticulitis with no stoma. done laproscoply plus he had to reopen my csection site to . having more cramps to lower belly and backache,light bleeding/yellow coming out of csection site.is cramping ever stop?

: Without a diverting colostomy (no stoma)) with laparoscopic colon resection, infection or anastomosis failure is difficult to assess. See your surgeon who performed the surgery, as symptoms described may need further surgical options/treatments.

UNLIKELY: However the pain from a POSTERIOR PERFORATION ("blowout") of a  Diverticula  could produce pain referred to the lower back! (I have never personally seen this but it is technically possible!

just dx'd with diverticulitis. started on amox-clav today but have upper and lower back pain as well as waistline pain. is that normal?

Give it more time: For most infections, including diverticulitis, it takes at least 2-3 days for symptoms to improve after starting antibiotics. And often symptoms may worsen or change for a couple of days. If the new pain is severe, or if you have new or higher fever, discuss with the doctor treating you. Otherwise, contact him or her in a few days if symptoms are continuing.

in  hospital 4 months ago with diverticulitis.along with the cramping, bloating, constipation and fever, is lower back pain & pressure also a symptom?

Possible : Diverticulitis can certainly cause all of the bloating and abdominal prolbems , but the back pain my be cause as a compliction of Cipro (ciprofloxacin) which is known for causing skeleto muscular problems.

See if you doctor can get you off the Cipro (ciprofloxacin) and the fluoroquinolones. Flouride poisoning.

Everyone is: Different. The most common symptoms of an infection from acute diverticulitis is left lower abdominal pain that can be severe, inability to eat, significant constipation & sometimes loose diarrhea. Can have fever, nausea, vomiting. Rectal pain is not diverticulitis & may be hemorrhoid or fissure. Best to see a doctor.

: It just means there was a small amount of blood found in the stool. That fact that it is "Occult" means that it would not be visible to the human eye. It should be reevaluated in the future with your doctors to ensure it has stopped after your diverticulitis heals.

Nope: The development of an umbilical hernia and a bout of diverticulitis are not related.
