Allergy: Allergic rhinitis is not contagious. It is not an infectious disease, thus you cannot transmit or be infected by allergies.

Nasal congestion.: You can have allergic rhinitis without symptoms of runny nose or sneezing, itchy nose.  You may only notice the congestion.  Not all the symptoms of Allergic Rhinitis may be present.

i can't even clean my room because of allergic rhinitis. what should i do? i've been sneezing a lot. i also have a cat and avoiding her now. she doesn't sleep with me too but i still get runny nose mostly in the morning. thank you?

Sinusitis can...: Perhaps, but it is still likely due to an occlusion of drainage of the sinus.  Most sinusitis is not a bacterial infection without signs such as discolored nasal mucous, increasing sinus pain, possibly fever, and usually has been going on for at least a week.  Sinusitis can still occur from allergies or viral infections, and can present with clear mucus.  Try afrin nasal, decongestants.

Possible: You don't need runny nose for diagnosing Allergic  Rhinitis, esp if you have swollen nasal turbinates ancnad congestion which is the main criterion for its diagnosis. Let your doctor see u in follow up after using meds as prescribed.

Rhinitis: Runny nose, sneezing/congestion are the cardinal symptoms of rhinitis, whether allergic or non-allergic. Swollen turbinates and clear fluid in ear  (middle ears), are rather signs of inflamed nasal passages affecting middle ears drainage, yes you can have them without the classic symptoms in acute conditions, if long standing, better see an ENT for evaluation, good luck

i only get post nasal drip from allergic rhinitis , but other people get runny nose i have seen , some people get both ( burning nasal discharge + pnd). is this the difference in the anatomy? or due to sinus abnormalities and deviated nasal septum?

: The runny nose is mainly from rhinitis, not sinusitis. People can have predominantly allergic sinusitis or just rhinitis or both rhino-sinusitis so the drainage will be different.

Were you tested?: If you were allergy treated and your test was negative, this is correct. Some individuals have nasal congestion from dust mites and pets but no other symptoms. If you have not seen an allergist, do so now.

lifetime: It waxes and wanes with the seasons but returns annually forever. Claritin, (loratadine) zyrtec, and Allegra are your best choices during the day; Benadryl (diphenhydramine) at night;; Pseudoephedrine combos when it's really bad.
