after 7weeks found out 10th rib is fractured, not healing.still in moderate to severe pain, still popping. hard to move around without pain.what to do?

Wait : Rib fracture almost always heal, so if you can hang in there it should be pretty well healed up over the next two to four weeks.  If it is particularly painful, an intercostal nerve block can relieve the pain but it may be short term.  Make sure you are not using nicotine or taking NSAIDs, both of which can delay bone healing.

No much: All tests have risks and benefits. The benefit of knowing that you have a rib fracture versus the risk of radiation exposure and the cost of the test is not a good balance. As you said the treatment would not change.

Depends: Depends what kind of fracture you have and how long you have been injured. Posterior fractures may have a greater risk of puncturing a lung.

Tincture of time: Usually rib fracture will heal in time without therapy. Manipulative therapy to rib fracture in most cases will make pain worse and may displace rib fracture fragments.

Depends on: how vigorous you exercise.  But if it is causing little or no pain, it is probably ok to continue.

Cough = fx ribs??: Don't need supplements unless you're deficient in certain areas. Time heals. Rib fxs with coughing are rare...Who diagnosed you?  Are you that low in calcium?

Theoretically yes: but because ribs are not weight bearing bones, not as much as it would affect long bones or vertebra.  Osteopenia is probably a contributing factor for the original fracture, making the rib weaker and more prone to fracture.  But it should not affect the healing time that much.

It should not take 2.5 years to heal a rib fracture. You need to have your doctor be more specific and find a specialist to speed up the repair of your fracture.

Yes: Yes, weight lifting is not a good idea with a rib fracture.  It can potentially really aggravate or even potentially  displace a rib fracture to weight lift.
