Cysts: Depends on the type of cyst. Duplication cysts, sebaceous, cysts of the stomach etc. Are neither rare or very common. Many do not produce symptoms but they might.

This is not unusual.: Nabothian cysts are common, mucous filled cysts that look like tiny pearls within the surface of the cervix.  They can be seen with the naked eye during a routine pelvic exam, using the speculum to visualize the cervix itself and collect cells for the pap test.  The colposcopy test uses magnification to see a larger, more detailed view of the cervix, thus the cysts are just easier to see.

10 years, multiple bartholin gland cysts on both sides. left is now constantly secreting clear sticky fluid. what is happening? i've never seen this.

Bartholins: They need to be incised and drained with a catheter placed ,to allow continuous drainage until the cyst is empty, then closure of the opening over several weeks. These cysts can reoccur. If so will need a procedure called marsupialization

Yes: There are medications to help control or prevent hemorrhagic cysts on the ovaries, but which type of medication for YOUR condition needs to be determined by a doctor.  If you are currently taking a medication for the pain, make sure it does not have blood thinners (aspirin or  NSAIDS) in it.

Why ignore?: Why ignore the pain? Pain occuring monthly sounds more like endometriosis than ovarian cysts. An ovarian cyst is easy to diagnose by sonogram. Endometriosis can be harder to diagnosis. In severe pain cases a diagnostic procedure called a laparoscopy is often warranted.
