Kidney stones: While kidney stones often are seen on renal ultrasound, it is a rather vague image at best. Most urologists rely on ct scans or        ivp x-rays to identify and assess stones within the kidney or ureter.

Yes.: Bladder stones can be visualized by cystoscopy. Stone removal, however, is more involved, requiring a procedure called cystolithalopaxy. It is similar to a cystoscopy, but requires general or spinal anesthesia since a larger rigid scope is required, and instruments to break up the stone may be needed. Very large stone may not be amenable to cystolithalopaxy, and require surgery.

earlier report says 11mm gall stone..new report says numerous small calculi seen..what is the difference between new report n old one?

More stones seen: The current report shows more stones and the old report saw one 11mm stone. Sounds like you have developed more gallstones since the previous exam. This would not be uncommon. More stones may be visible on the current exam because the gallbladder was better distended or the technologist who did the new study was more experienced.

Generally yes: Most kidney stones can be seen on plain x-ray and do not need mri.

i have all the symptoms of a kidney but i haven't seen any blood in my urine. could it be something else or can i have a kidney stone still?

Maybe: If your question is whether someone with a kidney stone will always have blood in the urine, especially blood that can be visibly seen the answer is no.  More importantly if you are having symptoms it is better to not try to diagnose yourself, but speak to your doctor.

i have seen an area on my tonsil that looks like a hole and it looks blue inside? is it normal to see blue tissue inside tonsil crypts ? and is the blue colour of concern? the hole is a little bigger. i get tonsil stones on occasion?

Tonsil stone: A tonsil stone is not a real stone but a collection of debris within the tonsillar crypts and they usually don't cause symptoms or need removal. The trauma caused minor bleeding and should be of no concern.

i've seen tea listed as a drink to avoid as it might contribute to kidney stones. does this include green tea?

Controvertial: Tea traditionally has shown to be high in oxalate that can cause kidney stones. Green tea's oxalate content is much lower. But the medical evidence has been conflicting with some recent studies actually suggesting a reduction in the stone risk from even non-green teas! until the jury is out, stick to drinking water..No rx required and cheap!
