Many things: See your family doctor. Possibilities are gastritis, pancreatitis, stomach ulcer, reflux esophagitis, constipation, fatty food intolerance, very rarely retained bile duct stone, etc. Need to see a doctor for evaluation & testing.

have very sore  anus , had diahrea , now just  gas & extreme lower tummy pain after meals, feels like  my bowel is trying to collapse  outwards?

See a doctor: Although i think that your sore anus is the result of your diarhea, you seem to be still suffering from a gastrointestinal condition. Causes are many and would be best handled by your doctor who could rule out any of the significant ones which can result in serious illness. Possible causes include infectious gastroenteritis (food poisoning), diverticulitis, colitis , irritable bowel syndrome.

Accepted Answer

Stop laxatives: They only irritate the bowel.  Exercise daily at your EHR for a minimum of 30".  Try running. I have never met a constipated runner.

You need a check: of this jelly stuff to see if it is partially digested blood.  Also your Hgb should be checked again. And your abdomen should be examined. The heavy gas could indicate some blockage and normally you shouldn't have any abdominal tenderness.  If it is blood, other studies should be done of the GI tract to be sure it isn't cancer.

Yes: Gas filled or cramping bowel can lead to localized tenderness that resolves after passing gas or having a BM. IBS commonly causes such cramping.

Unlikely: The most important consideration for you is whether your current bowel habits represent a change from your normal routine. This would potentially make your description of BMs more concerning. It is not altogether unusual to occasionally see undigested food &amp; streaks of blood, &amp; your Hb is reassuringly normal. If remain concerned about your family hx, reasonable to discuss with gastroenterologist

Withdrawal?: if you were on a significant dosage for any length of time you may be having withdrawal symptoms especially if you abruptly stopped the clonazepam and were not weaned.

It varies : Could vary from days to weeks depending upon your response to treatment. I presume u are talking about diverticulosis . If pain is persistent and worsening, follow up with your dr . Perhaps u already took some antibiotics . Give us some feedback.

See your GI: As you are on Asacol (mesalamine) i suspect you have uc and these symptoms may represent a flare. For which you should see your gi.
