Insect Bites: Very difficult to diagnose skin lesions without images. However, key things are if redness spreading, or mass forming, or pus draining or not improving in a few days - see your physician as it could be turning in to a worsening skin infection.

Ant bites: Most ant bites cause a white bump in the middle. It is best not to squeeze these or poke at them. If they are itchy, using an anti-itch medicine such as caladryl clear may help. Keep them clean and avoid scratching. Call your doctor if redness spreads or there is pus drainage in the area.

how to stop insect bites from weeping?

Is it infected?: Without physically examining your insect bite, there is only a medical guess as to what is triggering the weeping. Is it infected? This would be the 1st concern--addressing the infection is the only solution here. If the weeping is watery clear, then perhaps this is more of an allergic-type reaction that might respond to oral antihistamines such as allegra (fexofenadine). Call md if infected or not better soon.

Insect bites usually: Have a central puncta (hole) which may leak fluid. Try ice to reduce swelling & calm itch. Use otc Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or zyrtec (either can cause drowsiness) &/or Claritin to combat the reaction. Can also take zantac/axid/pepcid to block the other histamine receptors. Watch for signs of infection: heat, increased redness, more pain, pus, in which case, see doc.

i went to the doctors over an itchy rash. dr thinks its insect bites or scabies, it hasnt cleared but is no longer itchy, what else could it be?

Still scabies: If you were treated forvscabies. The medicine can clear the infection but the inflammation will require several days for the skin to return to normal. During this phase a prescription topical steroid is useful. Also check for any other possible sources such as pets.

Cold compress: Applying a cold compress and keep area clean are all needed most of the times.  In case swelling spreads, have him checked.

Possible allergy: It sounds like you have wedding ring dermatitis as you are possibly allergic to a metal component of your wedding ring. The other cause is soap that gets stuck under the ring band. If the rash is isolated to the area where the ring touches your skin then it is most likely an allergic reaction. If you have similar looking rashes other areas, possibly other causes and would need to be evaluated.
