: Do you know if it's a spider bite? Soothe the area with cold applications for 10 minutes or so. .Wash with mild soap&amp;water. Don't pop the blister. Apply an antibacterial ointment &amp; protect with a sterile nonstick gauze held in place with paper tape.  Elevate the area if it's on a limb. Observe for spreading redness which could indicate secondary bacterial infection requiring systemic antibiotics.

i have an insect bite on my finger that made my finger swell like a sausage. today i m having pains under my arm, it's achy. is this normal?

Arm pain?: Are you saying that the pain under your arm is related to the finger swelling?   I do not believe that is normal.

Evaluation: Because of the persistence of this lesion and now it's getting hard I would highly recommend that you see skin doctor to evaluate it. He could be something as simple as the plugged sebaceous cyst to a foreign body or even and embedded parasite. A proper evaluation and possible biopsy needs to be done

Cold compress: Applying a cold compress and keep area clean are all needed most of the times.  In case swelling spreads, have him checked.

Sometimes an insect bite can become secondarily infected - so this redness needs to be properly evaluated. Could this bug bite have been from a tick? There are certain tick borne diseases as well that one needs to be on the look out for. An Infectious Diseases doc is specialized for that
