Doctors should evaluate patients with eye irritation with a slit lamp exam, and use Fluorescein stain to determine whether there is an infection or another treatable condition.

No: This medication is for acne and as long as you don't get it in the eye it does not eye irritation. But nothing should be overused.  The steroid in that can cause skin thinning.  Consult your prescribing family doctor or dermatologist.

Dry eye: Dry eye, allergies are common causes. Try refresh tears (over the counter).  If having pain, light sensitivity, eyelid matting, or redness  then see an optometrist or ophthalmologist.

Eye irritation: by deployed, do you mean you are in Army and been deployed to Iraq or Afghanestan? if that's the case try to avoid direct sun, exposure to the dust and sand, wash your face and eyes regularely with cold and clean water, you can ask your doctor to evaluate you for possible allergy and therefore using anti-allergic drops.
