Dilaudid : Dilaudid (hydromorphone) is not a local anesthetic, and in most cases it lasts less than 24 hours.  Injecting hydromorphone into the dorsal part of the hand could produce numbness of the back of the hand if it injured the dorsal ulnar cutaneous nerve or one of its branches.

I am not sure why you are asking, but please do not take this large of a dose and if you have and you do not normally take opioids, please have someone take you to the er. Please use caution & strictly follow doctors instructions.
