Thyroid ultrasound: Homogeneous means the texture is all the same.  Inhomogeneous means it is not all the same.  But does the report mention nodules? A hashimoto's thyroid gland often does not have discrete  "nodules" but is irregular throughout due to a low degree of inflammation and fibrosis.

Diffuse echotexture: This is a description of sonography can findings of the thyroid. It means there is a mix of lumps and cysts commonly seen with a degenerating multi nodular goiter.

A radiology term: The normal spleen looks quite smooth on ct scans. If it is involved with disease such as with  hodgkin or non-hodgkin lymphoma, it's appearance looks different on ct scan or pet/ct: no longer smooth and even but rather has different shades. This is an inhomogeneous appearance as opposed to a homogeneous one.

Not uncommon: 95% of thyroid nodules are benign. Some people get enlarged thyroids. As long as its not so enlarged it is pushing on structures there is usually nothing to do about it and no need to do anything. Anytime there is a nodule we determine what to do based on the size and nodule characteristics. We also make sure it isnt hyperfunctioning. I recommend you see an endocrinologist for this. Not necessarily: An enlarged lymph node could be a benign reaction to an infection or a sign of malignant spread. A proper evaluation by physician with possible corse of antibiotic may result in regression of the node. However, a biopsy may be needed if the node persists or get larger.

You have heavy periods that cause clots, you have an ovarian cyst, and you have an increase in vaginal discharge, all of which are likely unrelated to each other but need to be discussed with a gynecologist because they can also be normal
