on my ear around the earring hole, it appears to be very dry. idk if it's a rash or what but time to time a sore bump will appear. what is this?

Contact Dermatitis?: It is very common to have an allergy to a metal in an earring that typically starts in the earring hole. Sometimes it can become secondarily infected. I would start with an over the counter topical antibiotic once daily and a topical Hydrocortisone also once daily. Avoid earrings with nickel. If this doesn't work you should be evaluated by a dermatologist.

Infected/inflammed: Red, hot, swollen and drainage (inflammation) are normal signs of healing and in fact, not bad but are integral to healing.  If infected, the wound should not improve, the patient have fevers, chills, and other systemic signs of infection.  Culture of the wound should never be with a swab on the surface but a simple tissue biopsy.  Routine use of antibiotics is to be condemned due to the risks.

Piercings: Most industrial piercings  involve a double upper ear cartilage. It can cause real problems if this area becomes inflammed or infected.    You are more apt to get  complication with a chondral piercing vice an ear lobe. Another issue  can occur if you are reacting to the metal that makes up the piercing. Please have this medically evaluated.

Herpes simplex: Without seeing these have no way in which to diagnose, but this sounds like a herpetic eruption. See a doctor and get managed professionally.  Good luck.

Some basics: Infection is accompanied by increased blood flow, which increases local temperature of the skin. There is often swelling, increasing redness &amp; sometimes drainage from open sites.

Post trauma: it could be a foriegn body that was in the injury and may be getting infected or working its way out.

Probably infection: It's not necessary to get a tragus piercing to get infection there.  It's a nice cozy warm spot where bacteria can lounge and, if there's an opening, they can set up housekeeping, causing a small abscess.  Get it checked.  If it's abscessed, it should be lanced to drain out the pus.  Antibiotics might work if a more diffuse soft tissue infection.

i have these watery bumps that r super itchy an as i scratch the burst an more appear? if scratch but they don't burst they get infected? meds?

Eczema?: It's hard to say without knowing more about where the bumps are located, but if they are on your fingers it sounds like dyshydrotic eczema. Try a few days of a topical steroid but more importantly make sure you don't use antibacterial soap and always keep a good moisturizer on the area.
