: When I read the common side effects of this medication, which is a combination of 2 meds,  I thought it would take extenuating circumstances to take it for weight reduction. . I also learned that the side effects may last days. Notify your prescribing physician of your reaction to it.

No: Having heart palpitations anytime is not normal. Indigestion and/or Nexium (esomeprazole) do not cause heart palpitations either. If you're having heart palpitations, you should see your doctor to be sure that they are not signs of a cardiac problem. Do not delay seeing your doctor. Good luck.

Have your: Doctor consider other possibilities. Eosinophilic esophagitis and functional dyspepsia can cause the same symptoms. You may need an endoscopy to better evaluate.

See your doctor: this constellation can be consistent with gastroesophageal reflux, but be sure to rule out heart disease (any risks such as chest pain, hi BP, diabetes, obesity, cholesterol, etc?), asthma (wheezing?). infection (such as walking pneumonia), once ok from cardiology, consider trial of proton pump inhibitor  (PPI) thru ur doctor. avoid cig, alcohol, coffee, mints and fatty/late night meals to be sure
