Get checked for : Strain, sprain on knee and ankle, and bruised muscle and soft tissues. Taking nsaids/motrin and applying warm packs may help in the meantime. Take care!

Keep covered: I do not know what you were covering it with, but I would keep it covered when you are active.  You probably can take the bandage off when you are at rest if you want to. The topical antibiotic may help, but I find shin infections ususally need something oral.

Bruise?: hard lump can be as simple bruise if it does not resolve in should be evaluated

See a neurologist: Sensory nerve supply to that area of skin is damaged. It could be a problem near the numb skin area or as far back as lower back and any where in between.

Leg anatomy: The anterior compartment of the leg is supplied by the deep fibular nerve (deep peroneal nerve), a branch of the common fibular nerve. The nerve contains axons from the L4, L5, and S1 spinal nerves.

See doctor: You need to start with your primary care physician first to examined it physically, so that a preliminary diagnosis can be made. Then your pcp will be able to tell you the next step, or if imaging is needed, and refer you to the right person to see for further workup if needed. This is something that you would want to have documented in your chart.

i got kicked in the lower right part of my shin and it doesn't hurt when i put pressure on it but when i press on it, it hurts. what might be the prob?

If it does not hurt: When you stand on it, it is most likely not a fracture, although it is impossible to rule that out with limited history or physical exam. More likely what it is, is a contusion (bruise) either in the superficial tissue or the bone. Sometimes, trauma in the front of the shin can lead to chronic shin splints as well, so rest and give the shin some time to heal. Ice. If it does not improve, see a doc.

i have a singular red splotchy mark about the size of a dime on my lower shin with a bump in the center. it itches a bit but i have no pain. thoughts?

Spltch: If new, itchy and on your leg I would be suspicious for some type of contact dermatitis.  Poison Ivy would be possible. Other thoughts would be cellulitis, numular eczema, erythema nodosum, psoriasis.

i am experiencing  ankle swelling. and i noticed on my shin there's an indent and it's discolored?

Swollen ankles: indicates a POSSIBLE circulation issue--a collection of fluid called edema.  Please see your doctor.  Peace and good health.
