Sx’s can include: tender /swollen breasts, nausea or vomiting; lack of period; ^ frequency of urination; headaches, insomnia, fatigue. Moodiness, mild cramping, food cravings ; aversions; passing gas; enlarging waist line ; ^ white, milky vaginal discharge. Constipation can occur. Take pregnancy test to know.

Yes: Yes, multiple GI complaints are common.  Extreme hormone elevations are the norm for early pregnancy and almost anything goes.  Not to worry, with time much of this will dissipate.  Hang in there.

Black stools: Black stools is never a pregnancy "symptom". One cause, if formed, is extra iron in the diet. If loose and sticky like tar, it's caused by intestinal bleeding which signals an urgent visit to your doctor..

Might be normal: Every one has a bowel pattern that is "normal" for their body.    While some women find they become constipated during pregnancy, if you had bowel movements every other day when you were not pregnant, it is probably normal for  you.  If you are having abdominal pain  or cannot pass stool, talk to your doctor.

i just found out that i am pregnant. i have not had a bowel movement in a week and i am in pain. what is safe to take to help me go during pregnancy?

Several options: You can take Peri-colace or Senokot, (senna) both are brand names for docusate sodium.  And of course see your provider for a complete prenatal exam.  Colace can be used as a stool softener.  Eat foods with fiber such as fruits and vegetables.

Cramps : Many women have cramps and pregnancy. In your case it sounds like it may be related to your bowel function. Perhaps taking MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) every day would help. Make sure you're getting prenatal care and have had a visit with the doctor to make sure you have a normal healthy pregnancy.
