Might be normal: Every one has a bowel pattern that is "normal" for their body. While some women find they become constipated during pregnancy, if you had bowel movements every other day when you were not pregnant, it is probably normal for you. If you are having abdominal pain or cannot pass stool, talk to your doctor.

It's normal and not: Uncommon to be constipated during pregnancy. The enlarged uterus with fetus onboard compresses on the intestines and the effect of hormones causing relaxation of the intestinal wall contribute to the problem.
