i have multiple echogenic calculi in the gallbladder and i have the pain in the right side.what i have to do?but i am 26 old.

Consider GI or Surg: Consultation for additional evaluation.  Surgery may be in your future.  If evaluating gallbladder function is desired, then a hida scan (also called hepatobiliary scan) may be ordered.

Most helpful for you: hida with cck - uses a radioactive chemical injected via a vein to evaluate how the gallbladder fills with bile and also includes a hormone injection to see if gb empties like it should.

Depends....: These are gallstones.  About 20% of people have gallstones, but only 20% of people have problems (pain) with gallstones.  If you have been having right upper abdominal pain and you have gallstones on the ultrasound it may be an indication to remove the gallbladder.  You should see a General Surgeon to confirm.

had pancreatitis due to below. is gallbladder removal necessary? can urso work? -the gb shows numerous calculi and mural thickening but no pericholecystic inflammation. a few questionable calcifications in the gb wall. no para cholecystic fluid?

Do You Have Pain?: The presence of gallstones in the absence of symptoms does not warrant gallbladder surgery.  In fact, most people with "silent" gallstones will never develop symptoms, as high as 75% of the time.  I advise my patients to be familiar with the symptoms of gallbladder disease and return if these develop. While surgery is safe and easy, it is not risk-free.

in my fathers usg report found gall bladder is grossly contracted. lumen shows calculi. walls are normal. problem is gas and digestion problem sometimes vomiting. in xray chest pa view the bony thoracic cage is intact age 63 yrs. kindly suggest?

: Upper endoscopy (EGD) with biopsy for ruling out H. pylorii infection should be considered. If there is no evidence of gastroduodenal pathology by direct exam and biopsy, cholecystectomy may be required.

GOOD AND NOT TOO BAD: Depend if you were having gallbladder problem it feel like heaven because it is the end on a long suffering
most people will eliminate pain they did not think it will ever go away
the body will cpmpensate for the lack of the gallbladder and that could cause some people not to tolerate a specific food and could end up with loose stool after greasy food and creamy food
otherwise ir is not too bad.

You should: Consult your surgeon or GI specialist, so that causes of abdominal pain other than gallstones can be investigated.

You see doctor: Gall bladder attack needs intervention .First confirm diagnosis by ultrasound exam ; also need routine blood work to see if your whiteblood cell count is high . If so you may need antibiotics and urgent surgery to remove gall bladder. Untreated acute cholecystitis can cause serious infection, rupture of gall bladder and peritonitis.

i'm still hurting had a hida scan done gallbladder is at 53% could i still need it out?

RUQ pain: Yes you may very well still need a Gall Bladder removal. If your HIDA was done with CCK (Cholestokinin) it could help in that decision if your pain is reproduced. If CCK is negative you may need a CT scan of your Abdomen. I would recommend a consult with liver function test results as well
