Fetus: A fetus, newly formed is but the size of a speck of dust. There is no such thing as implantation bleeding.  There is in very rare cases a spot of blood, but not bleeding.  Bleeding represents something else.  Brown is just dried out or old blood that has lost all of it's oxygen.

So, you would be in that window.  The only way to know is to do a pregnancy test. If your periods are now regular from the Metformin wait until you miss then check a test.  Good Luck!
