i have an implanon inserted it is my 4th one i've been experiencing swellen down my arm for sometime now and it's quite sore...should i be worried?

Should be checked: You don't indicate exactly how long ago the Implanon was placed but you should not have any discomfort from it past the first 2 or 3 days.  It should be looked at.

No: The only risk is that at some point it will no longer provide effective birth control when the hormone in it becomes depleted.

Arm: I would call the doctor who did the procedure so they are aware of what is ring on and can be involved in your care.

Get checked: Nexplanon should not cause pain. If it is causing pain then you will need to see you Obgyn for an evaluation. It is quite rare but there are cases where patients have been pressing on it causing it to shift around or migrate.

i gotten the implanon taking out of my arm in feb , its now mid june , and me and my husband are trying for a baby , but no luck , why is that ?

Please see your OB: To check your hormones and to see if you are ovulating and make sure tubes are open, but you have only been trying for a few months, the definition of infertilty is no baby after 1 year of trying, but u can start some of the workup now  and 35 % of time due to not normal semen from your husband so that can be checked out also with a semen analysis.

arm swelling after getting implanon?

Minor swelling okay: There may be a little local edema in the area surrounding the Implanon insertion site. If there is an expanding area of redness associated with the site, this may be a sign of infection. See your doctor.

Depends: If you had your Implanon inserted within 5 days of when your last period began, it is effective immediately.  At any other point during your menstrual cycle, a backup form of birth control (i.e. Condoms) should be used for 7 days.  If you are unsure about the timing of insertion, use backup birth control for 7 days to be on the safe side.

how soon and likely is it for me to get pregnant if i just removed the implanon from my arm a day ago?

About 24 hrs: not common until next cycle but can happen after 24 hrs

NO: It needs to be checked out as there could be an infection.
