is it possible for me to put neosporin on an impetigo blister?

Neosporin: There is certainly no downside for putting neosporin on an impetigo lesion. Typically, however, a prescription strength antibiotic ointment is prescribed for these lesions. I suggest if you see no improvement in a day or two, to see your doctor.

Circular. Oozing: They are circular ooozing honey crusted lesions. A rah can be red and scaly but not in early stages oozy and sticky. A regular rash that is chronic can become secondarily infected. For photo of impetigo go to aad.Org.

i have blisters which i went to the doctors about and said it was chafing but i think it now could be impetigo how do i know?

Not chaffing: chaffing should not give you blisters.it only is luke a rub burn.
Blisters could mean a virus(herpes)or impetigo
either ways you need to be seen and treated!

Blistery rash: You could have chicken pox or if the rash is segmental you could have shingles.

had impetigo and used mupirocin2% three weeks ago. left with redness and lower lip is itchy but no signs of blisters. is it back?

Maybe not: If the redness is a little less (improving) each day, it may be "post-inflammatory" redness that gradually goes away after the impetigo heals. If crusting or oozing returns, then the doctor can look to see if the infection has returned. Many people get blisters on a lip that are cold sores, instead of impetigo. Cold sores are caused by viruses (mupirocin doesn't work on those viruses).

i have open like blister sores..appeared suddenly... very sore, burn & itch. i googled symptoms and it says impetigo. would i need an antiobotic?

Maybe: Impetigo is usually a kid disease while pubertal skin changes make it less likely in adults. You may have a blistering skin infection or they may arise from bites or an allergic response. You can treat them initially by blotting with hydrogen peroxide (kills staph)/drying &amp; applying an OTC antibiotic ointment or cream. If they persist or worsen have the issue evaluated.

Herpes/Impetigo?: Herpes is generally quite painful.  Impetigo wouldn’t extend to the inside of the mouth.

Blister: Rashes/skin problems are best helped with if the doc could see.. consider adding an image or consult with a physician.
