I wouldn't: The bodies process of reacting to these injections requires time. If you use any form of immunosuppression in the 3-6 weeks after they are given you can dull or abort their effectiveness &amp; place you at risk. I would confer with your treating physicians on such a plan.

Hard to say: Since these are illegal substances untested against the benefits of the rabies vaccine we have no data on which to know. That said, do so at your own risk.

Yes: You can take Vit B12 with your anti-Rabies vaccine Rabipur. There are no special precautions of foods or otherwise, required while completing the series of shots.  Just take them on time as advised by ur physician.

Yes: The majority of rabies reported to the cdc are animal cases with carnivors or bats as the main subjects. Only hawaii is free of rabies at this time in the us. In the last year of full reporting (2010) there were 2 human cases. See: www.Cdc.Gov.

2-3 years: Duration of immunity in humans after 2 injection rabies vaccination averages between 2-3 years. Some studies suggest protective levels of antibiodies as long as 10 years.

: Rabies does not survive in water, only a bite from a rabid animal can transmit the disease.

Rare to none: It is rare that mice and other rodents become infected with rabies and rare that you would contact rabies without a direct bite. Make sure you are current on your tetanus and have mice removed. All the best.

It sounds like your: dog is vaccinated. Clean the wound with warm water &amp; soap. Dry. You can apply  thin ribbon of antibiotic ointment. Cover. Have you had a tetanus shot in the last ten years?

i have a raccoon that we feed on occasion. it does not appear to be sick. should i be concerned that i could catch rabies from it without being bit?

Not without exposure: You will never know when or how this animal is exposed and becomes rabid. Any semi-tolerance of you  while healthy can end with an aggressive change at any point, and the animal may carry the virus then.I would avoid any attempt at close contact.

Odd question: Why would you wait a week to ask about a disease that can kill you ? Yes, rabid animals usually die within 4-5 days after inflicting a bite. Human incubation is usually much longer. Your local health department will know if there is any rabies in the region &amp; what you should do after such a bite. If the dog had his shots it wouldn't be an issue.
