If it gets hard: Breast fed babies can have a little poo each feed or a big blowout every 7-10 days.Watery stools are common. Formula babies are more regular. Nothing you posted is alarming.

Tenesmus: Rectal tenesmus is a clinical symptom in which there is a feeling of constantly needing to pass stools despite an empty colon. It is often the sign of an inflammatory condition of the colon and this can be infectious or non-infectious. Should be seen by a doctor for diagnosis and possible therapy.

Newborn behavior: It is very common and usually normal for young babies to struggle and cry as they try to pass gas and stool.  They are getting used to bodily sensations and trying to coordinate everything.  It is reassuring if she is eating well and passing soft stools.  It can help to burp her well after she eats as well.   Constipation with hard stools is not normal but also quite uncommon at this age.

For example, stool or gas can have bad odors from blood or poorly digested foods as with crohn's disease (inflammatory condition), celiac disease (gluten intolerance), pancreatitis, or some infections.

Perhaps: Potentially one could have those symptoms although that is not a symptom I often hear when seeing patients with a rectocele. The best thing to do is to see a Gynecologist and let them do an exam to see if you have a rectocele. That is an easy diagnosis to make with an examination.

Breast fed?: Breast fed babies can poo a little smear with every fart &amp; have looser stools. As long as they are active feeders, alert &amp; filling out I don't worry about their poop pattern.

Diet modification: Sounds like you may be lactose intolerant, but if you are not leaking still into your underwear a simple diet plan with a nutritionist could solve the problem. If there are other issues with loose stool and incontinence, you need to visit s gastroenterologist who will get a good history, do a good exam, and suggest next steps
