Still on Antibiotic?: While there is no general prohibition against using alcohol when dealing with acute diverticulitis, common sense would suggest that it may not be the best idea.  Furthermore, many antibiotics can be affected by alcohol intake, so i would be especially cautious if you are still on antibiotics.

Moderation: Is key here.  No evidence that moderate amounts of alcohol will affect colonic diverticulosis or diverticulitis, absent any complications or drug interactions.

Its ok: It's ok in moderation.  It won't aggravate it.  If you have diverticulitis though (with pain, diarrhea, and/or fever), then see a doctor right away for treatment.

Best not to: I would not advise drinking alcohol while having diverticulitis, as alcohol suppresses immune system, thins the blood which could worsen bleeding, and alcohol also interferes with some antibiotics.   If you mean diverticulosis, which is having the pockets without pain or infection, then moderate alcohol consumption is fine (2 drinks a day for men, and 1 drink a day or less for women).

I do every thanksgiv: L tyrosine is a normal amino acid found in meat. There is no more interaction between it an alcohol than meat and alcohol.

Depends: Depends on how much you are talking about when you say "drink."  if you are on pencillin, it is to treat an infection.  Large quantities of alcohol (more than 2-3 drinks on an occasion) interfere with the body's ability to fight infections - white blood cells do not work as well to gobble up germs and make antibodies in the presence of alcohol.  If it is a beer or 2, or a glass of win, no problem.

Not Advised: It is not advised to drink alcohol when you are ill regardless if you are on medication or not.  That then gets much more specific in that you are not to drink alcohol when on medication for an acute illness such as the flu.

Safe to drink: Yes it is safe to drink alcohol in moderation as long as you do not have a medical contraindication like liver disease
studies have shown that if you are male and drink 2 drinks a day, like 2glasses of wine, 2beers, or two shots of hard liqour, it is beneficial to your health as it raises yourhdl
in women who are not pregnant or nursing 10 drinks a week is beneficial 
any more than that can be harmful.

Don't mix the 2.: You are taking a long acting stimulant which does not mix well with alcohol, which is a depressant.Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) may overshadow the normal effects of alcohol. Feeling the effects of alcohol less, you may drink more. Alcohol poisoning is of particular concern when combining the two. You may inadvertently drink too much and not realize it because you don’t feel the normal signs of intoxication.

Alcohol and NyQuil: Nyquil has alcohol so the effect would be additive. I probably would avoid using nyquil when i was drinking.   Be safe.
