my skim milk expired on jul 13 & i have been drinking till jul 22. i didn't notice any bad taste. i am 20 weeks pregnant. will it harm my unborn baby?

Should be fine: Pasteurized and also refrigerated, the milk should be fine the week after the stamped date, as long as it tastes normal. Americans throw away too much edible food just because the stamped date has passed, so it is better to judge the food on a case by case basis. Sometimes, an item may be bad (like moldy bread or soured milk) before the stamped date, and other times still just fine after the date.

No. : There is no evidence that a small amount of caffeine is harmful. Try to avoid during first trimester as there was a study suggesting excess caffeine in early pregnancy may increase the risk of miscarriage.

Why?: Eating sugar from time to time is not going to hurt the baby. If you take in extra calories each day you may gain weight though.

May affect pregnancy: Any alcohol consumed during pregnancy, as with other substances, may affect the fetus.  But the effects can be extremely variable.  The most important thing is to stop drinking, and of course to follow up with your ob/gyn.  It is also important to discuss this issue with your pediatrician on the first visit.

Yes: Caster oil is considered a category x or dangerous drug during pregnancy. Its side effects include the induction of premature labor and miscarriage. It is sometimes used by midwives at the end of a pregnancy to trigger labor, but caution is advised.

Not a problem: The carbonated drinks just form acid which is what the stomach does naturally to prepare food for digestion. Your system will accommodate the material with no risk to the fetus.
